The low kick is a powerful weapon to use in a street fight. Not only does it limit the opponent's movements by striking their lead leg, but it can also cause a lot of damage. When used correctly, it can be a real asset in any fight. Even though it can't knock out an opponent, it can be a very effective tool in street fights.
On the other hand, the rear leg low kick is an effective technique that can surprise an opponent and cause them to lose their balance. The kick is aimed at the lower part of the opponent's body, such as the thigh, midsection or feet. It is a powerful strike that can sweep opponents off their feet or stop them in their tracks. The low kick is a great way to get the upper hand in a fight and maintain a safe distance from the opponent.
#4 - The Clinch
Muay Thai fighters must master the clinch if they hope to be successful. Experienced fighters rely on this technique to handle incoming attacks. Not only is it useful in a street brawl, but it's also beneficial for those trying to enhance their Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts abilities.
Clinching is a grappling technique done while standing in which the combatant faces their opponent, grabs their head and pushes back with their arms to gain control. You can land multiple powerful strikes with your knees and elbows if done successfully, and this move is beneficial with multiple attackers.
#5 - The Switch Kick
The switch kick is a powerful move that can be very effective in close combat. It requires both speed and power to pull off and can be used to surprise opponents with poor defence. The strength of the switch kick is that it can be used as an unexpected strike to take opponents off guard.
If you are standing too close to your opponent for a standard roundhouse kick in Muay Thai, you can switch your feet so that the rear leg is further away from the opponent and use it to deliver a kick.
